There are several types of dry beans produced in Canada including white pea beans (navy beans), red kidney beans, great northern, black, small red, pink, pinto and cranberry (Romano) beans. Dry beans are high in carbohydrates which fills the stomach faster. Dry beans are an excellent source of minerals such as iron, phosphorous, magnesium, potassium, calcium and zinc. The high protein content of beans and the ability to cook them in various ways makes beans a great meat substitute.
We offer the following types of beans:
- Light red (kidney)
- Dark Red (kidney)
- Great Northern
